Affirmation: "Don't wait for opportunity. Create It."
"Don't let your freedom, be your bondage." Is a quote that I heard one day while listening to the Rickey Smiley morning show. It resonated with me, because I have done so many things, just because I could.
From financial decisions to tattoos, I have made a lot of decisions just because I had the ability to, even if it meant me settling in the situation. I can't be the only person like that, but if you are in denial, it's cool.
I always say that if I could go back 10 years, my life would be so different. But I can't. So, using the wisdom that I have now, I know that just because you have the opportunity to do something, doesn't mean that you should do it. In every decision that you make, you have to use wisdom to know if it's what's best for you.
I even implement this quote when it comes to my weight loss journey. I work-from-home now, so I could eat cake, ice cream, brownies, cookies all day and wash it down with soda, but I refuse to let these 20 pounds be my bondage. I'm free to eat like there is no tomorrow, but prayer,wisdom, and discipline won't let me.
Don't let the extra time that you may have now, due to Covid, lead you to do anything that won't put you into a better position. Exercise wisdom and restraint. "Don't let your freedom, be your bondage."
