, First, let me say that I love my church family. Second, let me say that I can find 'meaning' in a situation or occurrence like nobody's business.
So, I was at church and a fellow member asked another, younger member (her relative), "Why are you looking at me like that?" After asking about 3 or 4 times, she finally told the younger lady, "Quit playing yourself and just say that I look good!"
Now, I told y'all that I can find 'meaning' in anything, so buckle up lol.
Think about how many times we legitimately play ourselves.... I'll wait.
We play ourselves with men, with our friends, at work, at the store and even at church. We play ourselves by selling ourselves short or even by selling others short for various reasons. Maybe we see others as a threat or maybe be ourselves are a threat to ourself.
We each posses the qualities to be our own biggest supporter or our own worse enemy. You know better than anyone what you need to thrive and you should be at a level of self-awareness that allows you to know your own weaknesses or areas that need improvement. On the flip side, we know what we have within us to win.
Stop playing yourself. Stop selling yourself short. You are it. You deserve the best. & You are fully equipped to win.
You never have to dull your crown...Just let it shine!!!
